Helping producers tackle the most carbon-intensive links
In an energy landscape where decarbonization of operations is at the forefront, upstream producers must seize every opportunity to move the needle. Separation is often overlooked in the quest to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, yet traditional equipment is a significant source of methane and CO2. A single heater treater can emit as much as 4,000 metric tons of CO2 per year, the carbon footprint equivalent of over 800 passenger vehicles. Oil holding tanks are also significant polluters as fugitive leaks, due to the build up of entrained gas, have become another significant source of emissions on the well pad.
